Meet the CAWRS Team
Working to support the Community Alliance
Our core team is as diverse in our passions and expertise as we are in cultural and linguistic identities. We celebrate this diversity, hoping to co-create a more inclusive and resilient sustainability movement.
Max
PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR
When he’s not foraging for hardwood pallets for the next community compost hub, Max spends his time coordinating volunteer sessions at the Pakenham Community Garden and Future Seeds Nursery where he helps to grow food, seedlings and community.
Max is driven to help set a new standard for inclusive and accessible community spaces for all to enjoy.
Julie
PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR
Julie has worked on many community development projects and loves connecting people and building community as with CAWRS. Julie loves where she lives, spending time with family and friends and having lots of fun on the way.
Megan
SCHOOLS WORKSHOP CO-ORDINATOR
Megan is passionate in providing accessible and inspiring science to all ages and works with PrimeSCI!, Swinburne Science Outreach provider. She is a mum to two active boys and keenly working towards a future of zero waste to landfill.
Carol
COMMUNICATIONS & DESIGN OFFICER
Carol is a Brazilian foodie, sustainability lover and comms polymath. When she is not working in CAWRS communication channels, she can be found studying, taking care of her balcony garden or advocating for a fairer and more sustainable food system.
Jolene
COMMUNITY INCLUSION OFFICER
Jolene is a Community Project Developer with Burmese roots and a big passion for the empowerment of women and community engagement. She is a volunteer team leader for Women’s Friendship Cafe Pakenham and other women-led welfare organisations.
